In Naxos there exist approximately 90 watermills !

They are found mostly in the central and northern part of the island, specifically in the region around Komiaki village, along the river that flows between Engares and Kinidaros, in the region of Potamia, around the Melanes and Myloivillages, in the region around Chalki village, and in Danakos.
